Mechanism of action
Inhibits bacterial
cell wall synthesis,bactericidal.
Indications
Cephalosporin
sensitive infections
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to
ceforanide or other cephalosporin.
Precautions
Modify dosage in
patients with severe renal impairment.
Dosage
Adults:500mg to 1 gm
twice daily.preoperative prophylaxis 500mg to 1gm one hour before surgery.Children:20-40mg/kg/day
divided in 12 hourly dose.
